Events Honor Veterans, Their Service

National World War II Memorial
Several events honoring America’s veterans are scheduled for Nov. 11 in and around Washington, D.C. Here’s a look at some key Veterans Day events and how to participate. At 9 a.m., a ceremony at the National World War II Memorial will honor the more than 16 million men and women who served during World War II. Hosted by the Friends of the National World War II Memorial, the event will feature World War II veterans who will place wreaths at the memorial’s Freedom Wall in remembrance of the more than 400,000 Americans and 60 million people killed worldwide during the deadliest military conflict in human history. Wreaths around America – Veteran Memorial, Boulder City

Our goal is 35,000 wreaths! December 13, 2025 at 09:00 am (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony) – The ceremony will occur inside the chapel at 9 a.m.  Seating is very limited. We ask that children sit on laps of their parents. Please remember the placement of wreaths and the chapel ceremony is to honor those we have lost. The event is open to the public and we ask you to take time when placing a wreath on a grave of our fallen heroes and say a few words. Parking is very limited inside the cemetery grounds. Larger trucks/SUVs and buses will need to park outside of the cemetery on Commons Way or Buchanan Blvd. Placement of Wreaths in the Cemetery: 9:45 a.m. – At approximately 9:45 a.m. behind the chapel wreaths purchased for grave specific can be picked up with the receipt of purchase.  Group Orders: Larger group orders for grave specifics can be picked up behind the chapel with photo ID of the person from the group who purchased the wreaths. REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.
