Join Us As We Honor Them 7,000 Dog Tags59 Nevadan’s Tags60 Miles to Remember Operation Battle Born is our annual Memorial Day showcase event. This year marks the 5th Southern Nevada Operation Battle Born Ruck to Remember. Veterans and community members will march 60 miles over 3 days to honor fallen service members since 9/11. This event is proudly sponsored by VFW Post 12101, UNLV Military & Veteran Services Center, Team Red White and Blue, and the Southern Nevada Veterans Chamber of Commerce. All Nevadans are welcome to participate in this tribute march. The journey begins at Amargosa on May 24 and concludes at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City on May 26. The Rebel Vet team will cover 30 miles a day for two days, carrying a rucksack with a set of dog tags for each fallen hero.
